Every man and his dog has, or actively listens to a Christmas playlist. Unless they’re one of those that just whacks Bublè’s album on for the entirety of December (Soz Kate if you’re reading this). However, and I know I might be biased, but mine is definitely top of the pile. All the classics, cheeky bit (whole album) of Cliff Richard thrown in there and some good ol’ rock ones too – what more could ya want?
We chose our Christmas tree back in the middle of November (organised or just Christmas obsessed? Who knows) and I have been eagerly anticipating its arrival ever since. It got delivered on the 30th of November, so naturally we spent the rest of the day shopping around garden centres for baubles, tinsel and the cutest decs we could find. To be fair, I think we did a swanky job.
This is an idea I got from a very lovely friend of mine about 4 years ago now and I think it’s supesssss cool! Obviously everyman and his dog loves a Christmas advent in one way or another, and this is one of the best, albeit sometimes a bit hard to stick to… But still so fun!!
Welcome to Blogmas – aaaaaargghh! I am so friggin’ excited, y’all. Tis the season and all that. Christmas is easily my absolute favourite time of year. For me, I always knew it was getting close when X-Factor was back on TV’s and the clocks had gone back again. What’s even more exciting for me this year is the fact that it is mine and Dan’s first Christmas in our little house… And you can bet your bottom dollar that I made him book the 30th November off so we could spend it traipsing around garden centres and buying our first Christmas decorations together! Annoyingly, Christmas time and cheffing do not go hand in hand so this is the month I’ll see Dan less than ever, le cry.
Anywho, the real reason of this post is to kick Blogmas off correctly… With the Christmas tag!
I probably started shopping in charity shops around the age of 15 I think, and pretty much haven’t looked back since. Obviously I still go into the big chain shops like Topshop and New Look, especially when there’s a sale on, but for the most part charity shops are my number 1 bae.
I came across LittlePencilDesign’s Etsy shop through another blogger’s Instagram (I cannot for the life of me remember who’s – I’m a Bad Blogger™, I know). But what a cute idea this is!!!! For £10 you get a mystery bag, essentially a lucky dip bag, full of cute kawaii items. Mine arrived yesterday and I was super happy with it! Plus, most of these can now be used as props for other Christmassy pictures. Amaze.
January marks two years since Dan and I went on a weekend away to Barcelona for his 23rd birthday – holy fork balls does time go fast!? Anywho, despite it being a pretty long time ago now, I really like the idea of writing about the city and showing you the amaze features Barcelona has to offer. Continue reading “Barcelona”
